Popular fleet vehicle gets major upgrades.
Nissan has unveiled the all-new eighth-generation 2020 Nissan Sentra, which goes on sale in Canada in late February.
Two inches lower and two inches wider than the previous generation Sentra, the 2020 model gets a new look, and a more refined and luxurious interior. A new 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder engine is rated at 149 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque, which translates into an increase of 20% and 16% respectively over the previous generation’s 1.8-litre engine.
“Nissan has a vibrant offering of sedans for customers in the Canadian market,” said Steve Rhind, director of marketing at Nissan Canada. “With more than 6-million Sentra vehicles sold all-time in North America, we believe the 2020 Sentra will reach new heights offering refinement and quality, technology and performance not seen before. The lower stance and more athletic design cues from the Maxima sports sedan give Sentra a sexy new look.”
