Ford Smart Mobility, a subsidiary of Ford Motor Corporation, recently acquired Journey Holding, which specializes in intelligent transportation solutions.

The vehicle manufacturer wishes to contribute to the acceleration of intelligent transportation in cities. Journey Holding’s software will be integrated with TranLoc, a Ford Smart Mobility company, which provides on demand and fixed transportation route solutions for both private and public transit operations.

Together, the new partners plan to serve nearly 1,200 cities, universities, and other businesses, with their systems. “The combination of these transit technologies will accelerate our goals of supporting cities wishing to offer more seamless, efficient and accessible transportation solutions,” explained, Ford Mobility Vice President, Marketing and Development, Brett Wheatley.
