Auto Truck Group, a leading work truck upfitter in North America specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of truck and van equipment, announced plans to build an all-new production facility in Fort Wayne.

Auto Truck Group, a subsidiary of Holman Enterprises, plans to invest over $6 million to build a new 72,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana, that will nearly double the company’s production operations in the region. The facility is set to open early next year, with 40 production bays, and more office space, and storage capacity. Additionally, 50 new technicians will be hired to work at the location once open. In the meantime, the company will continue work at its current manufacturing location in Fort Wayne.

“Our Fort Wayne facility and its employees have played a vital role in our company’s continued success, and as a result of this unprecedented growth, we’ve quickly outgrown our current location,” said Pete Dondlinger, President, Auto Truck Group. “Fort Wayne is an ideal location for Auto Truck Group and this new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility will further enhance our production capabilities as we continue to develop customized vehicles for every type of vocational application to meet the needs of our customers.”

The Auto Truck Group has transformed truck bodies, chassis and vans into functional, task-specific work trucks for a variety of customers from different sectors, including construction, government, and rail industries. The company has customers across Canada and the United States through its 12 production facilities.
