Newer generations of tech-savvy drivers are turning away from traditional ownership model.

According to Larry De Shon, President and CEO of the car rental company Avis Budget Group, stated the newer generations of tech-savvy drivers are turning away from traditional car ownership and instead embracing car rental and other on-demand car services, which is why DriiveMe.co.uk is perfectly placed to meet that demand. Car rentals provide them with ease and mobility and an economical way to stay behind the wheel. Currently, DriiveMe, co.uk. is offering car rentals for £1 ($1.27)

The new generations are combining the DriiveMe.co.uk services of £1 car rental with other car-sharing apps, such as liftshare.com to split the cost of the journey between people, which results in a lot of savings. For instance, if an adult that is travelling from Edinburgh to London books a one-way advance ticket, he would end up paying £161 on a train and £121 by plane. The same trip with a Hertz vehicle via DriiveMe.co.uk and four other travelers will only cost £12.20 inclusive of fuel.

This difference in cost can be broken down further and shows that while the train costs 38 pence per mile and the place costs 28 pence per mile, then DriiveMe substantially reduces that cost to only 2 pence per mile.

Launched in the UK in 2018, the DriiveMe.co.uk offers 24-hour rental of vehicles for just £1 and helps car rental companies balance their fleets between cities. The site connects users with cars that need to be moved and share the same destination while saving the rental money company money on the need for a vehicle transponder.

UK Manager of DriiveMe.co.uk, Trevor Lambert, said: “It’s brilliant that we are helping people to get behind the wheel of a car at the lowest possible cost. If you can split the cost of a journey with friends or fellow travelers, then not only are you helping the environment by car sharing, but you are also saving your money as well.”
