The launch of the GO9 will help Geotab to expand globally and will be used in new vehicle types, including electric vehicles.
The GO9 telematics device complements a broader range of vehicles and provides customers with more power, speed, code space and memory than its predecessors. With its ability to self-configure for most cars, it offers better acceleration tracking, a more accurate GPS, and better support for vehicle-generated data and new vehicles.
This device is designed to help companies to derive more information from their fleets, manage their businesses better, and lead their fleets into the future.
“We are excited to have launched the next generation of Geotab’s flagship product,” said Neil Cawse, CEO, Geotab. “We see this as one of the most important iterations in the history of our product line as the GO9 not only makes running your fleet simpler and more productive, but it allows Geotab to extend our capabilities and expand our presence globally.”
New features include:
- Fuel reports;
- Gyroscope and enhanced accelerometer–data on how the cars are driven and how fleets can improve safety for their drivers while improving car-care;
- Global navigation satellite GNSS module (GLONASS + GPS support)–provides accurate location data;
- Improved over-the-air software updates and provisioning – helps to optimize device security, safety, and efficiency; and
- FIPS 140-2 validation–it can protect sensitive information
“We have always prided ourselves on providing our customers with the best possible solution to help them better manage their fleets,” added Cawse. “The new GO9 device will not only enable them to improve productivity, efficiency, and safety of their fleets and drivers but is a platform on which we will continue to add new features and capabilities in a unique and innovative way.”
