The sporty new all-electric Jaguar I-PACE crossover, expected to arrive this fall, has recently completed a final round of extreme weather and safety testing, prompting the vehicle manufacturer to give it the green light as it goes into production.
Jaguar claims that customers equipped with a 100 kW fast charger will achieve an 80% charge in just 45 minutes. Although it may be an all-electric vehicle, cold weather testing at the Land Rover test site in Sweden, where temperatures dipped as low as – 40 °C, eloquently demonstrated the I-PACE’s ability to function in frigid conditions.
Jaguar has developed an innovative preconditioning system for the I-PACE’s battery that uses your home’s power to cool or heat the battery, thus ensuring maximum range and performance in all weather conditions.
The all-electric crossover will be unveiled to the public at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
