The 2018 Prius Prime will soon be available across Canada.
Originally available only in Quebec, the 2018 Toyota Prius Prime, which boasts a range of over 1,000 kilometres on a single tank of gas with a full battery charge, will be available across Canada at the end of January.
“When we introduced the Toyota Prius Prime in a test market in Quebec in May 2017, we committed to launching it across the country in a timely manner. That test-market experience has been a resounding success and we’re now ready to introduce this remarkable plug-in hybrid to all Canadians,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada.
The Prius Prime boasts an impressive city/highway combined fuel efficiency of 1.8 litre-equivalent / 100km with a full battery charge. It can also be operated for up to 40km in pure Electric Vehicle mode.
It starts at $32,990 and qualifies for the following provincial rebates for PHEV vehicles:
• Quebec: $4,000
• British Columbia: $2,500
• Ontario: Pending government approval, anticipated to be $7,095 as part of the Ontario Electric Vehicle Incentive Program – final rebate to be available closer to launch.
