Fleet professionals learn about the latest electric vehicles.

More than 80 guests enjoyed the “Future-Proof Your Fleet” event, hosted by Foss National Leasing. The event took place on Sept. 21 at the “Plug ’n Drive Discovery Centre,” located in North York, Ontario.

Most car manufacturers were out with their latest electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, for this first-of-its-kind ride and drive event. The goal of the organizers was to give fleet professionals access to a broad range of EVs and plug-ins, from affordable people movers, to exotic sports cars.

The event included a presentation by Nicole Verkindt, founder and CEO of OMX (Offset Market Exchange) and one of the Dragons on CBC’s Next Gen Den. Verkindt offered a thorough explanation of how our economy is becoming digitized and how current trends are changing the way we live.

Following the presentation, all in attendance had an opportunity to test drive all the vehicles on display, in and around the North York area.
