Following several years of continuous record sales, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to expect signs of a slowdown, in fact, the opposite proved true for several manufacturers in July.
This was the case for Jeep, which totalled 9,842 units, the highest monthly total in the 75-year history of the brand in Canada. July 2017 sales were actually 36% higher than the 2016 total for the same month.
Mitsubishi, with a total of 2,078 deliveries, was another big winner in July, as they registered a 30% increase over their July 2016 sales figures.
Subaru also experienced enviable results, with 4,454 units sold, for a YTD total of 30,887. The Japanese automaker is confident that they are positioned to surpass their annual record of 50,190 units, which they achieved last year.
Honda and Acura were also among the big winners, as 18,544 units were sold in the course of the seventh month of 2017, an increase of 10% over its July 2016 performance. The Odyssey minivan, with a total of 1,800 sales, posted its best sales month ever.
