New LEAF Promises Improved Aerodynamics

The next-generation Nissan LEAF will be revealed to the world on September 5, 2017.

Nissan continues to tease drivers with tidbits about the all-new LEAF, which will debut in September. Most recently, the company has announced that the new Nissan LEAF will feature an improved aerodynamic design that makes it even more efficient, allowing drivers to travel farther on a single charge.

The redesigned next-generation Nissan LEAF is also lower to the ground, helping it realize zero lift for better stability at high speeds, says the company. Other new design features promise to significantly stabilize the car when hit by strong crosswinds.

Nissan says that their engineers were inspired by airplane wings, recreating the ideal shape for the new LEAF, enabling a symmetric air flow that helps it slice through the air for a smoother, more efficient journey.
