Muskoka Bay Club plays host to a sell-out success.
Each year, the Trillium Automobile Dealers Association (TADA) hosts two annual charity golf tournaments. The Northern event, which takes place in August is the second of these two events.
On August 15, a record 160 golfers, among them automotive dealers, vendors and auto retail related professionals—gathered to take part in the 2019 TADA Northern Charity Golf Tournament. Once again taking place at the prestigious Muskoka Bay Club resort, the picturesque setting provided perfect weather conditions this year, with plenty of sun and light breezes. Lunch was served on the course and attendees got a chance to take part in a few “friendly” competitions in addition to playing 18 holes on the course.
The TADA Northern Tournament had a special treat this year, with retired NHL star player and Hockey Hall of Famer Doug Gilmour joining the group. Along with retired hockey player and media personality Jim Ralph, who served as emcee during the evening reception, Gilmour regaled the audience with entertaining tales of his time on the ice. Gilmour also joined participants out on the course during the day and took time to meet and greet attendees.
Each year, this tournament hosts a silent auction and raises money for charity, this time out the recipients were Tim Horton’s Send a Kid to Camp and Jack.org, which helps those suffering from mental illness. This year approximately $10,000 was raised.
A sell out success, this year’s TADA Northern Golf Tournament was arguably the best one yet. Can’t wait to see what 2020 brings.
