Volvo Car UK redesigns the new car test drive as a premium experience, focusing on customer preference and convenience.

Volvo Car UK’s introduction of its new Test Drive + program across the retailer network meets customer’s needs and preferences better, from a convenient booking service to providing a car they are interested in at any location and for a length of time that suits them best.

The program is based on customer feedback on how people view, value, and hope to improve the test drive service, reflecting Volvo’s human-centred approach to delivering freedom of mobility.

Test Drive+ allows customers to choose to have a test drive at a retailer or a chosen location, like their home or workplace, for up to one hour, with extended test drive opportunities for up to four days.

The initial booking is made through a registration and reservation system that can be accessed online via smartphone, laptop or desktop computers, or by calling Volvo’s team of Test Drive+ agents. Here, customers can view a real-time calendar to choose from dates and times that are available. Online chat service is also provided for support or to answer questions quickly.

Customers will receive an email confirmation once their reservation has been made. Retail locations for tests drives provide reserved parking for the customers when they arrive.

Test Drive+ hosts are product specialists to ensure customers understand everything about the new car, including the technology and safety features for a relaxed test drive experience.

Test Drive+ is available now across the UK, initially for the XC40 compact SUV, with other Volvo models, like the S60 saloon, to be added soon.
