The Ottawa Gatineau International Auto Show was held from March 21st to the 24th at Ottawa’s Shaw Centre.
Over 300 vehicles from 34 automotive manufacturers were on display. Several new models were introduced ranging from mass-produced models to the rarest exotic ones, including a few head-turning prototypes. Noteworthy vehicle launches included the 2020 Cadillac CT5, which replaces both the ATS and CTS. The new 2019 Lincoln Nautilus also managed to attract many interested onlookers.
The Ford GT was honoured at this year’s Ottawa Gatineau Auto Show. Its storied history includes a very important Canadian component, as the latest iteration of the GT underwent testing at Ottawa’s Calabogie Motorsports Park. Ottawa resident, Richard L’Abbé, who was the first customer to take possession of the latest generation of Ford GT, will attend the Auto Show with GT in tow.
This year’s edition also included an entire, separate section dedicated to vehicles which achieved notoriety through appearances in major Hollywood films over the years. As usual, the event featured various road tests, including both electric vehicles and bicycles.
