The new electric Cadillac will be the first step for GM’s future EV platform.
GM announced that Cadillac will be at the forefront of the company’s EV ambition. They will be using a flexible platform to prioritize customer needs.
“Cadillac’s EV will hit the heart of the crossover market and meet the needs of customers around the world,” said Steve Carlisle, president of Cadillac.
Cadillac EV’s drive units will be configured in front-, rear- or all-wheel drive and the output of their battery systems can be changed according to vehicle and customer needs. The car will eventually be redesigned in various styles.
