B.C. based OpenRoad Auto Group has acquired Sunrise Toyota in Abbotsford, which represents its 27^th location.

Sunrise Toyota was founded in 1968 by Roy Yakashiro and initially operated as Sunrise Sales and Service on South Fraser Way in Abbotsford.

In 1992, the business moved to a new location in the Fraser Valley Auto Mall and rebranded as Sunrise Toyota where it still operates today. The new and used Toyota sales and service centre employs 45 part-time and full-time employees.

Refering to the acquisition, Christian Chia, President and CEO, OpenRoad Auto Group, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Sunrise Toyota to the OpenRoad family of dealerships and extend our passion for the Toyota brand into the Fraser Valley.
