After more than 20 years at its old location, CBB finds a new home.

More than 150 industry professionals attended the official grand opening of Canadian Black Book’s new offices in Markham, Ontario. “We have everyone from our partners, dealers, automotive manufacturers, finance companies—virtually anyone who touches our data in some way,” said Brad Rome, President, Canadian Black Book. “We’re very flattered to have that many people here.”

The big move actually took place at the end of September. “We had been at the old location since 1998 and the space we had was great, but it wasn’t conducive to expansion,” Rome said. “I didn’t want to put the staff through a renovation there, and when this spot became available it gave us an opportunity to design the space to make it what we want it to be.”

The new offices were designed and built to accommodate the growing team (23 full-time staff, currently, plus a half-dozen contractors) and to allow for a larger board room, smaller meeting spaces, spacious common areas and even a room for employees to get away and spend some time alone to think, or make private phone calls.

The new building also has underground parking for the employees, as well as two charging stations for electric vehicles, reserved just for Canadian Black Book. This means the company’s editorial team can charge and store any electric vehicles they might be test driving, on site at their new offices.
