Go Auto, which is currently the largest automotive retail network in the Edmonton area, has been named one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures for 2018.
The Most Admired Corporate Cultures program, which is administered by Waterstone Human Capital, annually recognizes best-in-class Canadian organizations for having cultures that enhance performance and help sustain a competitive advantage.
Key attributes to being nominated for Most Admired Corporate Culture include first-class employee compensation, benefits, opportunities, and treatment.
Organizations nominated for Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Culture were judged on six categories: vision and leadership, recruitment and hiring for fit, cultural alignment and measurement, retention, rewards and recognition, organizational performance and corporate social responsibility.
Go Auto incorporates a strong promote-from-within philosophy based on results, not an employee’s resume, tenure, or credentials.
Go Auto says that every employee, regardless of their position within the company, is expected to be a trustworthy team player who is happy to help. The company regularly contributes to organizations that help hundreds of thousands of Canadians each year.
Among its donation initiatives, Go Auto has given $1 million to its employees to be used towards the Random Acts of Kindness in their communities. Additionally, Go Auto employees can also volunteer every week for Go Auto Fuels the Schools, a program that delivers food to underprivileged schoolchildren across the Edmonton area.

Go Auto’s full-time Employee Experience team also organizes annual meet and greets with the Edmonton Oilers, puts together Corporate Challenge events, as well as expenses-paid trips for top performers, a 20-dealership BBQ tour catered by Go Auto’s in-house kitchen team (led by a Red Seal chef), and an employee lunch program that makes more than 1200 meals every week.
