Hyundai has announced that 10 of its new models have garnered an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) or TOP SAFETY PICK (TSP) Rating when equipped with optional front crash protection and specific headlights.
A statement issued by Hyundai Motor America said that with the 2019 Santa Fe CUV being named an IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ along with Hyundai’s small accent passenger car being named a TOP SAFETY PICK, the automaker now boasts the greatest number of TSP+ and TSP-rated vehicles in the automotive industry.
The Santa Fe trophy was presented to Hyundai during a special celebration at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama on September 21.
The awards from IIHS for TOP SAFETY PICK+ AND TOP SAFETY PICK were as follows:

1. 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe with specific headlights
2. 2018 Hyundai Sonata with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights (only vehicles built after September 2017)
3. 2018 Hyundai Kona with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights (only vehicles built after May 2018)
4. 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe (LWB) with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights
5. 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights (only vehicles built after June 2017)
6. 2018 Hyundai Elantra with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights (only vehicles built after December 2017)
