The Wood Automotive Group has announced the appointment of Cailean Wood as General Manager, Advantage Ford, Calgary.

Most recently Wood served as Sales Manager at Big 4 Motors, the group’s Chrysler/Jeep dealership.

“As a young teenager I washed cars and pulled weeds at Okotoks Ford,” said Wood.  “It’s an honour for me to follow my grandfather James, my father Gerry and my brother Rory as a dealership general manager and Advantage Ford is the perfect place.”

The dealership recently celebrated its 23rd anniversary and recently completed a major renovation adding more showroom space, more service bays and a new drive through service centre offering no appointment oil changes.

Cailean Wood has been with the Wood Automotive Group full time since 2011.  He was the general manager at All Makes Collision Centre and then oversaw the opening and served as general manager at Driverz Auto, the company’s pre-owned vehicle specialty store.  Following that, he held sales manager positions at Big 4 and Advantage.

Wood holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree specializing in marketing and management from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia followed by post-graduate studies at the National Automobile Dealers Association.

“Advantage Ford is a performance vehicle specialist and we have one of Alberta’s best selections of Mustang GTs and F-150 Raptors,” said Wood. “Along with our other Ford vehicles like the Escape, Focus and Explorer you might say we’re built for comfort and affordability but with a need for speed.”
