Bentley Montreal hosted the official Canadian launch of the 2019 Bentley Continental GT on its showroom floor, which is located at 8225, boul. Décarie.
“Bentley has worked diligently over these last five years to develop the third edition of this mythical vehicle,” explained Bentley Product Marketing Director North America, Jon Simmons. “It wasn’t easy to apply the usual product improvements to this model, as it was extremely well designed to start off with, but we managed to pull it off.”
The 2019 Continental GT sits lower than its predecessor, while the front axle has been moved 12 cm (5 inches) forward; the resulting improvements have changed the vehicle’s dynamics, which are now much sportier. The sculptural aluminum body panels are shaped using the “Super Formed” process, which heats the panels to more than 500 degrees.
When equipped with the 626 hp twin turbo 6.0-litre W-12 engine, which is paired to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, the Continental GT Coupe can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 333 km/h.
