In Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on February 2, Mercedes-Benz unveiled its latest A-Class during a special World Premiere.

According to Mercedes-Benz, the new A-Class is a game-changing vehicle, designed to redefine modern luxury in the compact class, while setting a new benchmark for interior design and functionality.

With the launch of the A-class, Mercedes-Benz has also introduced MBUX or the Mercedes-Benz User Experience. A new multimedia system with machine learning capability, MBUX can be individualized and adapts to suit the user. It aims to create an emotional connection between the vehicle, driver and passengers and features high-resolution Widescreen cockpit with touchscreen operation of the media display, the navigation display with augmented reality technology plus intelligent voice control with natural speech recognition, which is activated with the code word “Hey Mercedes.”

The new A-Class, also incorporates a number of feature previously found on higher end models. Under certain driving situations, it is able to drive semi-autonomously for the first time, and MULTIBEAM LED headlamps are available on request.

All models of the new A-Class are powered by new, efficient 1.4 and 2.0-litre gasoline engines, plus a 1.5-litre diesel, all teamed with  twin-clutch 7-speed transmissions. The vehicle itself puts more emphasis on utility with greater passenger room and cargo capacity.
