New retail location opens up in Toronto-area shopping centre.

Mercedes-Benz Canada is celebrating the grand opening of the “Mercedes me” Store Markham, located within a traditional shopping centre. Although vehicles won’t be sold out of this location, consumers will be able to experience the brand in a very relaxed and refined atmosphere.

The goal is to provide consumers with a welcoming place where they can stop by and check out the latest models, ask questions, or browse items from the Mercedes-Benz Collection as part of their shopping trip to the mall.

The store will operate as a satellite location for nearby Mercedes-Benz Markham, and will be staffed by personnel from the dealership.

“People may be surprised to see Mercedes-Benz in a shopping centre alongside more traditional retailers,” says Philipp von Witzendorff, Vice President & Head of Toronto Retail Operations, Mercedes-Benz Canada. “This is an exciting new opportunity for us to engage with people in new and unexpected ways.”

The 5,600 square foot Mercedes me Store Markham is the first such retail location in Ontario (B.C. was first), and is currently the largest Mercedes me store in Canada.
