Canadian new car sale numbers continue to shatter old records.

According to a report compiled by the Global Automakers of Canada (GAC), Canadian new car dealers are well on their way to yet another phenomenal sales year.

In July, 181,834 units were sold, up  4.9% from July 2016, which means that year-to-date sales in Canada are now 1,220,902, which is an all-time record for sales through July. Sales for the month were also 8.8% better than the five year historical average for July.

“With each passing month, we are starting to run out of descriptors to describe this market that continues to show no signs of slowing down,” said David Adams, President, Global Automakers of Canada.  “Once again, July sales have been phenomenal and a stronger than expected economic situation in Canada doesn’t hurt either.”
