New online tool was built by Mobials, and is powered by Canadian Black Book.

In three months, over 200 Canadian dealers have signed on to use Tradesii, a new online service that provides consumers with trade-in information about their vehicles, while in turn creating leads for local dealers.

Consumers are offered the opportunity to look up their trade-in value in exchange for providing their contact information. The Tradesii report also includes the average asking price of similar vehicles that are listed on CanadianBlackBook.com so that they can see what their vehicle would list for at retail. The lead is passed to the dealer along with the specifics on vehicles searched during the website visit.

Tradesii was launched in April as an on-site trade-in valuation tool for dealers on Kijiji.ca. Early results suggest that approximately ten per cent of leads generated from Kijiji are coming directly through Tradesii, and according to Mobials, Tradesii has become the primary source for qualified leads and high-value new trade-ins for some dealers.

“This early success can be attributed to a few things. Our data, provided by Canadian Black Book is second to none, based on Canadian figures and consumers trust that, coupled with a widget that offers a far superior customer experience versus what exists on most dealer sites today,” says Marty Meadows, President, Mobials. “Plus the app was designed 100 per cent from the dealers’ perspective, to deliver a flexible tool that optimizes website visits and puts more and better leads into the hopper.”

“The simple format and logic of this tool give it some real legs, as we are seeing already,” says Brad Rome, President, Canadian Black Book. “Our role in this partnership is not only to provide accurate data, but also lend the strength and trust in our brand to provide comfort to both consumers and dealers.”
