2017 Automotive Summit shines the light on innovative mobile marketing strategies.
Facebook invited Canada’s auto industry to the company’s 2017 Automotive Summit, which took place in Toronto, Ontario.
After an overview of the evolution of marketing over the 13 years Facebook has been in business, the audience enjoyed a number of presentations focusing on innovative marketing strategies specifically designed to take advantage of the mobile platform.
Facebook is encouraging auto industry advertisers to rethink their mobile strategies. Ad strategies that appeal to audiences on a desktop, laptop or tablet, don’t necessarily translate well on mobile.
This means advertisers can’t simply run their TV commercials on Facebook and expect mobile users to watch them. Ads need to be shot differently for the mobile platform and then have to be structured differently in order to hold the attention of the viewer.
