Belron Canada has acquired prominent regional player Speedy Collision, a network of 24 franchise collision centres.
Like all retail businesses, the automotive aftermarket service industry is changing as customers are becoming more influenced by improvements in other industries: new technology, mobility, expectations of ease of service, new generation of drivers, increased complexity of vehicles, lower prices, personalized approach, speed of service, etc.
Remaining in tune with consumer needs is seen as key for both companies.
“This acquisition will allow our business partners to gain efficiency in having one point of contact for both their glass and collision repair needs,” said Ralph Hosker, President at Belron Canada. “This will facilitate a better understanding of their changing business needs, their claims challenges and how we can keep improving our service offering together. We look forward to welcoming our new colleagues in the Belron family.”
“Both companies share the same relentless focus on surpassing customer expectations by providing best-in-class service, superior-quality products, and remaining one step ahead by ensuring the highest level of training is achieved and that new technologies are deployed,” added Terry Allen, Chief Executive Officer at Speedy Collision. “The culture was a direct match and will be enhanced by joining forces.”
Belron Canada and Speedy Collision will continue to operate in their current physical locations under their respective banners.
