Car-O-Liner has announced the introduction of its EZ-ADAS system to enable collision repair shops expand their business by handling ADAS-equipped vehicles in-house.
According to the company, with this new equipment, repair technicians will be able to perform recalibrations after collision repairs, do component replacement and provide wheel alignment service.
As explained by Car-O-Liner, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems or ADAS are becoming more prevalent in modern vehicles. Therefore, collision repair facilities need to have the necessary equipment to be able to offer ADAS sensor calibration services. The EZ-ADAS has been designed by the company with centerline setup process based on OEM procedures. Car-O-Liner suggests this equipment as a suitable choice for shops since it is quick, accurate and easy to operate.
According to the company, collision repair shops can use the EZ-ADAS system in a conventional repair bay. The required hardware and target components are available in one package with the equipment. Another advantage noted by Car-O-Liner the equipment’s ability to address the most common systems, removing the need for shops to purchase each automotive manufacturers’ system. EZ-ADAS is also designed to integrate well with a repair facility’s procedures, existing equipment and diagnostic scan tools that provide ADAS coverage.
The EZ-ADAS system sports the following features, as per Car-O-Liner:
- Laser-enabled measurement and intuitive target adjustment features: These have been added for exact recalibration. The features help in minimizing errors, deliver better measurement instructions and ensure system precision.
- The system has been designed to function with up to 40% fewer steps when compared to competitor products.
- Technicians can access repair information within a single, easy reference guide. A step-by-step colour-coded process is used to present the information.
- The system is equipped with OEM-based targets. Coverage includes most common makes.
- EZ-ADAS is designed to meet OEM specifications. Technicians have the option of choosing from a variety of configurations.
