BASF has announced that it is now accepting submissions for the 2019 Glasurit Best Paint Award.

The company states in a release that Glasurit paint is used in several collision repair shops to achieve quality and shine. As explained by BASF, all repair shops that intend to showcase their refinish work at SEMA 2019 this November, now have the opportunity to participate in the company’s annual Glasurit “Best Paint Award” contest. The contest selects the vehicle that shines the brightest at the show as the winner.

As per the rules of the contest, paint technicians are required to use paints from the Glasurit 22, 55, or 90 product lines on their customized vehicles. Well-known builder and artist Chip Foose will present an award to the winner at SEMA.

“Each year we look forward to this contest,” says Tina Nelles, Marketing Services Manager for BASF Automotive Refinish. “This is a great way to honour builders who recognize Glasurit as the best paint brand on the market, guaranteeing them that world-class look and feel that they are looking for.”

A 1971 Ford Maverick, owned by Jimmy Shaw and built by Greening Auto, bagged the first position last year. Glasurit 55 line’s “Glasurit Go Fast Greening Gray” paint was used on the vehicle. Other finalist entries included a 1971 Chevrolet K-5 Blazer painted in Glasurit 90 line’s “Brazilian Smoke”, as well as 1971 GTO which was also painted in Glasurit 90 product line.

Interested participants can enter their vehicle by applying online, by October 29.
