On August 7, Hagerty Drivers Club organized a classic car tour from MacMaster Buick GMC in Orangeville, to Radical Restoration in Innisfil, Ont.
The objective was to get Hagerty Drivers Club members together for a casual social event followed by a cruise to a prominent hot rod and restoration shop.
This was the second such event organized by Hagerty insurance in Ontario and a sizeable number of classic and special interest car enthusiasts took part.
Participants gathered at MacMaster Buick GMC in Orangeville at 9.30 am, registered for the event and departed for an hour and half cruise on picturesque backroads to Innisfil, just south of Barrie, Ont. At the destination, lunch and beverages were served, followed by a tour of Radical Restoration, one of the most prominent hot rod and classic car restoration facilities in Canada.
According to Andrew Count, Canadian Events Coordinator, for Hagerty, the event was a chance for enthusiasts to get together during the week, enjoy their vehicles, share their passion and stories and cruise to a specific destination. Given the success of this event, others are likely to follow later this year.
