The Skills Alberta Competition for 2019 took place May 8-9 at the Edmonton EXPO Centre in Edmonton, Alberta.

And a full mass of interested students (from public schools, secondary schools and post-secondary schools) thronged the Centre! In addition, many displays showcased the trades of today available for work for these students in the very near future.

There were 168 competitors on hand for the competition in the 31 sectors of events. Many parents, and a multitude of students from all the schools represented filled the aisles of the EXPO Centre to cheer on their favourite competitor.

And the winners were:

Congratulations to all and to the staff who set up, tear down and clean up as well as the knowledgeable folks who preside over the competitors and decide who does the best job!

Next up—the 2019 Nationals Skills Competition. It is being held May 28-29 in Halifax, Nova Scotia at the Exhibition Centre.
