Axalta has been honoured with two Edison Best New Products awards for its products Acquire Quantum EFX and Voltaprem 5000.

Acquire Quantum EFX won bronze and Voltaprem 5000 won silver in the Materials Science and Engineering category. The company received the awards at a ceremony, held in New York City, to recognize products that showcase their excellence in technological innovation, new product and service development, marketing, and human-centred design.

The Acquire Quantum EFX and the Voltaprem 5000 are creative solutions enabling productivity and sustainability. We’re thrilled and honoured to win these Edison Awards.”

Axalta’s colour retrieval system, in conjunction with the Acquire Quantum EFX spectrophotometer, not only helps in digitizing the body shop industry but also enhances colour matching by eliminating subjective visual evaluations. According to Axalta, this product offers the first “colour” and “sparkle” measurement technology that helps in enhanced colour and appearance reproduction of OEM factory paint finishes on automobiles. Designed to help customers create more accurate and quicker colour matches, this system features unique colour technology built into a lighter and faster unit. This helps with more vehicle throughput.

The Voltaprem 5000, Axalta’s newly launched, environmentally friendly Impregnating Resin for High Voltage Applications, has been developed to significantly decrease application time as well as energy consumption. Besides providing better coverage, this also increases the efficiency and productivity of the applicator. Axalta asserts that the company’s technological breakthroughs have aided in lowering the application temperature by 20 degrees and allowed for 20% higher application/curing speed. Representing the future for high voltage motor impregnating resins, the Voltaprem 5000 is made up of 25 percent renewable raw materials.
