CARSTAR has recently announced the opening of Calgary Royal Oak.

Owned by the CMD Group, the facility is the latest addition for the multi-store owner group. The CMD Group team, consisting of Chris Stathonikos, Matthew Stathonikos and Dave Stretz, opened their first location in 1997.

“Having worked together in the industry for so long, we understand what we need to do in order to create a premier experience for our customers, while also continuously advancing alongside our ever-changing business,” says Matthew Stathonikos, co-owner, CARSTAR CMD Group. “We know the greater Calgary area appreciates having a premier collision repair partner, so this added location extends our reach to better support the Royal Oak community.”

The brand new 12,000 square foot CARSTAR Calgary Royal Oak facility’s team has committed to working towards earning important industry and OEM certifications. At the new location, the CMD Group will implement its standard procedure of repairing all makes and models as well as keeping their customers informed throughout.

“This ownership group is incredibly involved in the operations at each location to ensure premier customer service and outstanding collision repairs,” says Mike Piper, Western Canada Zone Director, CARSTAR. “We are so thrilled to see the team expand, as their services are un-matched and we know the Royal Oak area will appreciate their expertise.”

The CMD Group actively works towards giving back to Calgary and its surrounding communities, fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis Canada throughout the year. Owner Dave Stretz has even donated thousands at the 2018 CARSTAR Conference to buy a priceless painting from 6-year-old cystic fibrosis patient Faith Newell. The painting is currently on display at one of their locations.
