Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes officially joined I-CAR’s Sustaining Partner program in January 2019.
Automotive refinish professionals now have the option of earning I-CAR credits for the completion of Sherwin-Williams training courses at no additional cost.
The Sustaining Partner program is I-CAR’s initiative to mobilize organizations in support of its mission to improve collision repair industry training and enable complete, safe and quality repairs. I-CAR’s primary goal for the program is to decrease I-CAR training costs for collision repair shops. The Sustaining Partner program also enables I-CAR Gold Class collision repair centres to achieve more reliable performance and results for customers, while simultaneously improving their marketability to insurers.
With the program, Sherwin-Williams will now be able to contribute to I-CAR’s long-term plan for the collision repair industry.
“The more we can help our customers achieve I-CAR Gold Class designation, the more successful they will be in their business,” says Rod Habel, Sherwin-Williams Director of Training. “Better service and better education for our customers is the key to strengthening the industry and keeping people safe.”
Habel says that courses will be added throughout the year to supplement existing curriculum of the company’s training courses. Sherwin-Williams is to receive I-CAR’s support for designing the training courses to ensure that they meet the association’s accreditation standards.
I-CAR’s Sustaining Partner program was launched in 2018. Since then, it has joined forces with several organizations to facilitate collision repair professionals in facing challenges such as constantly evolving vehicle technology, increasing repair complexity, and growing costs, among others.
