The Fix Automotive Network team came together to support Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Canada, in 2018.

Steve Leal, President and CEO of Fix Network World credits the contribution to the Fix Automotive Network (FAN) Canada family of strategic franchise partners and FAN corporate staff, as well as their supply and insurance partners. The team collectively raised $75,087 for RMHC in 2018.

“We were so pleased to expand our partnership with RMHC to include all our Canadian brands this past fall,” says Leal. “Now all of our franchise strategic partners from Fix Auto, Speedy Auto Service and NOVUS Glass are on board to help families stay close while their children undergo medical treatment. I am very proud of our team’s efforts in 2018 to raise over $75,000 and volunteer many hours to this important organization.”

The FAN team works throughout the year to keep their commitment to give back to their communities. Shops across Canada donated their money, time, household items and games to help families stay close to their sick children and provide them the care they need. In addition to organizing auctions and draws at company functions, the FAN family has sponsored RMHC events in local communities and volunteered for the Home for Dinner initiative, to raise money for RMHC. Over 25,000 families from more than 1,800 communities across Canada seek the support of RMHC Houses every year. The need for support continues to grow every year. RMHC had to turn away over 2,800 families in 2017; that’s seven families per night.

“Our goal is to ensure that families with sick children across Canada can stay close to each other and close to the care they need, so we’re grateful to the Fix Automotive Network community for this much-valued and meaningful support,” says Kate Horton, Executive Director, RMHC Canada.

RMHC Canada is now the Fix Automotive Network’s charity of choice. Through this partnership, FAN wishes to encourage its franchise strategic partners, employees and corporate staff to support this cause by raising funds, volunteering and building awareness.

The partnership is especially relevant since several Fix Auto, Speedy Auto Service and NOVUS Glass outlets are located in communities without a children’s hospital. Approximately 65 percent of Canadians also live outside a city with a children’s hospital.

The FAN family empathizes with families that have children who are undergoing treatment. “Our network of franchise strategic partners and head office staff are committed to helping families during these difficult times,” concludes Leal. “With all our brands across Canada now onboard, I am really looking forward to 2019 and what we can accomplish to support RMHC Canada and the fantastic work they do.”
