PPG has released its collision refinish training schedule for the first quarter of 2019.
Scheduled for January, February and March, the courses will include PPG premium brands, such as ENVIROBASE High Performance, AQUABASE Plus, DELTRON and GLOBAL REFINISH SYSTEM lines. The courses are designed to educate paint technicians regarding the current PPG products, processes and technological advances.
Expert instructors will lead the sessions at PPG Business Development Centres and several field locations across the U.S. and Canada. Participants will have opportunities for Q&A sessions and informal discussions with all instructors. In addition to the classroom instruction, participants will also receive hands-on experience in the spray booth when they are ready. Classes are available in French and Spanish in certain locations.
PPG’s extensive training programs cover a wide range of topics relevant to the refinish industry. They include product selection, equipment and colour tools, surface preparation, paint application best practices and more.
Certification classes offered for each PPG brand are especially important. PPG requires refinish technicians to be certified every two years. Collision centres may offer the PPG Lifetime Limited Paint Performance Guarantee to their customers provided their facilities and PPG technicians are certified.
