In the Calgary area, CARSTAR Mark Kharfan Group, made significant donations to the local Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary to help make this Holiday Season extra special for kids in need.

The team raised enough money in 2018 to provide gifts not only to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary, but also their siblings, resulting in 113 children being gifted.

Also helping to host a traditional Canadian holiday meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and other trimmings, the CARSTAR Mark Kharfan Group brought some delicious joy to Calgary families in need of some extra cheer this year.

“We have a dedicated social committee who works all year round to fundraise for this special holiday event for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary,” said Mark Kharfan, owner, CARSTAR Mark Kharfan Group. “Committee member Joe Degroot even dressed up like Santa to distribute the hand wrapped toys not only bringing the children cheer—but really making our whole CARSTAR family feel extra festive this year.”

Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary is a charitable organization committed to changing the lives of vulnerable children, youth and their families by providing safe places and offering services and programs designed to meet the evolving needs of the Calgary community.

Supporting local charities is something engrained in the CARSTAR Mark Kharfan Group culture as they regularly fundraise for the CARSTAR charity of choice, Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Typically, the team hosts an annual Soaps It Up car wash. In 2018 Mark Kharfan even purchased $3,000 worth of CARSTAR branded socks at the Momentum conference because the proceeds went to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
