Polyvance has announced its support for I-CAR’s Sustaining Partner Program.
The new announcement is significant in that I-CAR credits will come at no additional cost to technicians through the Sustaining Partner program. Previously, students had to pay I-CAR for the credit hours under the Industry Training Alliance program.
Since 2015, Polyvance has been participating in I-CAR’s Industry Training Alliance program and currently, provides the only recognized hands-on nitrogen plastic welding training courses in the industry.
The Industry Training Alliance recognizes training provided by industry partners like Polyvance by allowing students to redeem such training for I-CAR continuing education credit hours.
By no longer requiring students to pay additional I-CAR credit fees, the aim is to encourage more training among shops and individual technicians, with the result being safe and quality repairs.
Polyvance is currently offering five different courses on plastic repair—three hands-on and two online, self-paced courses. The two online courses are
- EPR-01 Estimating Plastic Repair course developed in partnership with Accountable Estimating
- PR-03 Headlight Repair Course
