Faist Chemtec, part of the Sika umbrella, has been honoured with a General Motors Supplier Quality Excellence Award for its vehicle acoustic solutions.

This recognition signifies the second year in a row that Faist Chemtec’s Gastonia, North Carolina plant has received an award. The award itself recognizes top suppliers that deliver superior quality while maintaining outstanding relationships.

To receive the award, suppliers need to meet (and/or exceed) a set of demanding quality standards. Some of these include:

  • Supplying parts with no defects or quality issues
  • Providing 100% on time shipments
  • Adhering to zero plant disruptions
  • Maintaining expedited inquiry response times

“We are very pleased to be again be recognized by General Motors for the Supplier Quality Excellence Award,” said Tim Smith, President of Faist Chemtec USA. “Receipt of this award is clear recognition of our commitment to total quality throughout our organization.”

Faist Chemtec’s automotive product range offers acoustic solutions specifically designed towards eliminating or reducing low-frequency structure borne noise, in order to increase acoustic comfort during driving. Additionally, Faist technologies are engineered to help customers meet cost-efficiency goals and vehicle weight reduction objectives.

To date, Faist’s Gastonia, North Carolina plant has been recognized four times with this honour—in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017 respectively.
