Peter Polito, General Manager for Fix Auto Western Region, has announced the banner’s first ever Fix Auto Express facility, located in Edmonton, Alta.
Fix Auto Edmonton Downtown Express represents the first of its kind for the network in Canada. “We are absolutely delighted to partner with Desmond and his team in Edmonton on this inaugural Fix Auto Express location,” commented Polito.
Business owner Desmond Ross has been involved in the collision industry for over 30 years, owning his own shop for 25 years. “I was influenced by the fact that I loved cars and was passionate about business,” said Ross. “Before I could drive I was cleaning, polishing and painting cars; it was not only something I was passionate about but I also found it very fulfilling.” Opening his own shop in 1993, Ross and his team grew the business by focusing on exceptional customer experience, one visit at a time. Seeing the types of appearance services coming in, Ross saw the opportunity to add a same day repair service to his shop’s offering. That same day repair segment quickly amounted to half of the gross revenue and he realized this business model was sustainable.
The Fix Auto Edmonton Downtown Express facility will offer customers a simplified claims process for repairs in the $3,000 and under category. This Express location has been conceived to offer affordable and high quality one-stop solution for customers with a comfortable, low stress post-collision experience backed by the Fix Auto nationwide guarantee. To prepare for this milestone launch, the shop underwent some major facility enhancements.
The reception area has been completely renovated to achieve a clean, branded new look and feel. The shop floor, prep and paint areas have all been upgraded and are now much brighter and work-flow optimized. The exterior has also been aesthetically enhanced with a modern flair to pull the entire customer experience together.
The appeal of partnering with Fix Auto was very evident to Ross. “With Fix Auto being the number one brand in collision repair and the opportunity for us to be the very first Fix Auto Express in Canada, it’s a win-win,” explained Ross.
