At the 2017 SEMA Show, Pro Spot International launched its new i4s smart welder.

Taking the best features from the i4 Inverter Resistance Spot Welder, along with experience and requests from shop technicians, the i4s is designed to be the ultimate smart welder.

The i4s builds on the strengths of its i4 predecessor while adding some new features. These include WiFi technology with integrated onboard training, not only for the welder; but for the vehicles and OEM procedures to repair them.

With the onboard training feature, the technician can dial in the weld procedures for a specific vehicle and repair before actually using the welder, ensuring they are fully prepared just prior the actual welding process.

The i4s also features a lightweight, 360 rotational head with watercooling all the way to the tips.

It also provides instant feedback on each weld through the onboard screen, allowing the technician to see how each weld is performing without having to go back to the machine, saving a significant amount of time.

According to Art Ewing, Sales and Marketing Director, Canada, Pro Spot, the i4s Advanced Inverter Resistance Spot Welder will be widely available in the first half of 2018.
