For the first time in its history, CARSTAR gathered delegates from both Canada and the U.S. in Charlotte, N.C.
Under the theme “One Team. One Dream.” The conference, which ran from August 23-25, brought together CARSTAR’s Canadian and U.S. operations under a single roof.
It should be noted that in 2015, the Driven Brands group, which is headquartered in Charlotte, acquired CARSTAR U.S.A. before merging with CARSTAR Canada the following year.
On this occasion Michael Macaluso, then President of the Canadian branch, was appointed President of CARSTAR North America.
“I am very pleased with the success of this first conference marking the union of the two teams, Macaluso said in an interview on the last day of the meeting. We share the same growth objectives, but we understand that all of our markets have their particularities, specifically Canada. ”
The CARSTAR conference was an opportunity to work with insurer partners, in open and more private sessions, to present the company’s growth objectives and the work done to make the brand more recognizable.
“We want to increase the number of our franchisees from 550 to 1,000,” says Macaluso. “But this development will always be done by assuring us of the profitability of our franchisees. We will also gradually work towards the establishment of full service centers, offering bodywork as well as mechanics and car windows. But this will grow through our CARSTAR franchisees. The Driven Brands group includes banners in mechanics and car windows in its portfolio. [wds id=”570″]
