Patrice Marcil, Director of Client Experience, Axalta Coating Systems, has been named the next CCIF Chairman.

The announcement came after collision industry professionals and thought leaders gathered for CCIF Fredericton on May 26 at the Delta Fredericton, 225 Woodstock Road.

More than 250 people registered for CCIF Fredericton and had the opportunity to hear a range of keynote sessions covering a variety of important industry topics.

Marcil, who has worked for Axalta since 2000, previously served as head of Axalta’s training programs. With a teaching background from the University of Quebec in Trois Rivieres, Marcil took his first foray into the collision industry by working in the family business as a technician, transferring to management in 1985.

For a number of years, Marcil has devoted a considerable amount of time and energy in helping develop training programs within the collision repair sector. He worked with I-CAR in developing new programs and later served as head of I-CAR’s training initiatives in Quebec until 2015.

Following the announcement of Marcil as the next CCIF Chairman in Fredericton, outgoing CCIF chair Joe Carvalho noted that that Marcil’s active participation and enthusiasm within the collision repair industry makes him an excellent choice for leading CCIF.
