Sika Automotive has announced that it will be exhibiting its latest technologies at the International Automotive Engineering Expo (AEE) in Nuremberg, Germany on May 30 to June 3rd, 2017.
At booth 12-226, Sika will showcase a full range of products and latest innovations, which address vehicle trend themes such as lightweight construction, mixed materials, sustainability, crash resistance and comfort. Visitors have the chance to meet representatives from Product Marketing and R&D and catch a glance at a Jaguar XF Body in White with Sika applications. Additionally, product specialists Denis Souvay and Jose Bautista will deliver sessions in the “Presentation Area” about relevant topics for lightweighting:
Lightweight Materials- Possibilities with Structural Inserts (Denis Souvay) :
Lightweight designs need new bonding products adapted to new production concepts. Within its portfolio of structural inserts, Sika offers a new structural tape, which allows assembly of panels.
With SikaReinforcer-600, Sika is expanding the range of products for structural reinforcement and supports BIW designers and manufacturers in the forming of complex sheet metal compounds. Attendees will have a first time opportunity to witness this new heat-expandable structural tape with 40 percent expansion.
