Fix Auto World put together Fix Auto China’s first Global Direct Repair Program (DRP) Forum on March 31, during the annual Auto Maintenance and Repair Trade Show (AMR 2017) in Beijing.

This event, which gathered over 225 people and featured a number of notable delegates from the Chinese and Canadian automotive aftermarket industries, also set the stage for the signature of a historic collaborative agreement between the Automotive Industries Association (AIA) of Canada and the China Automotive Maintenance and Repair Trades Association (CAMRA).

The event, hosted by Fix Auto China, took place at the Hilton Beijing Capital Airport. Among key delegates were Fix Auto World President and CEO Steve Leal, as well as Fix Auto China President and forum organizer Frank Liu, Fix Auto World Global Strategic Developer Desmond Chan, AIA Canada President Jean-François Champagne, CAMRA Vice Secretary General Fengling Wang and Advantage Parts Solutions President Bob Kirstiuk. Additionally to the Global DRP Development Forum, Fix Auto World proudly sponsored IBIS China.

Fix Auto World’s Desmond Chan said: “This forum brought together collision repair experts from around the globe to share experiences and knowledge, demonstrating Fix Auto China’s willingness to help develop Direct Repair Programs, a necessity in China’s growing automotive aftermarket. We are also excited to have facilitated the signature of a strategic cooperative agreement between CAMRA and AIA Canada.

This agreement will enhance the creation and development of education, training and trading opportunities for the automotive industries of both countries. It is a very significant acknowledgement of Fix Auto’s vision of a global network.” He adds: “Helping facilitate this event truly shows how dedicated Fix Auto is to bring the industry closer together and to help drive it forward.”

AIA Canada President Jean-François Champagne noted Fix Auto’s support at the signing ceremony, saying: “Fix Auto is a global network company with operations in China, who has been a tremendous supporter and an active member of AIA Canada and who facilitated the signing of this agreement as part of their Global DRP Development Forum. Thank you to Fix Auto Steve Leal, Frank Liu and Desmond Chan for their ongoing partnership and for advocating for the global collision repair industry.”
