Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario, has announced recruitment for its Auto Body and Collision Damage Repair Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program.
The 18-week program, which will commence at Mohawk’s Stoney Creek campus, will start on June 26 2017 and run until October 27.
The program is divided into three segments—designed to give students a comprehensive introduction to the collision repair industry.
The segments comprise of:
- Six weeks Pre-Trades Theory, Trade Calculations and Estimating, Trade Exploration and Workplace Safety;
- 12 weeks Auto Body and Collision Damage Repair Basic Level 1 Apprenticeship Training Standard, including segments on Truck Trailer Service Technician, Health and Safety Certification Training, Employment Preparation;
- Eight weeks Work Experience.
The program is funded by the Government of Ontario and tuition subsidies are available for students who meet the qualifying criteria.
