Certified Collision Care has announced the launch of its 5-Star Business Performance Program to the collision repair industry as a bridge to OEM Certification.

Certified Collision Care created the online service to assist shops that want to develop and chart an improvement plan to achieve the requirements for OEM Certification in a timely manner. The 5-Star Business Performance Program is designed for shops to see how they stack up against the listing of OEM Certification requirements, and how they compare with a proprietary list of industry best practices in the areas of finance, sales & marketing, production management and customer satisfaction.

This exclusive evaluation and planning tool provides collision repairers with a self-administered online program to perform a confidential, in depth evaluation of their business and create a Business Improvement Plan that identifies deficiencies and provides action item to-do lists, budgets, and timelines. Over 1000 dealer-affiliated body shops have used the tool as part of the joint-effort OEM Certification program managed by Assured Performance.

The 5-Star Business Performance Program has been developed based upon the top performance and business models of thousands of collision repair businesses. Using this tool allows a shop to identify its competitive strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement. Upon completion of the assessment, shops will have a strategic plan that focuses on the most important needs of the business.

Certified Collision Care is recognized as having the most stringent and comprehensive business requirements for official Certification.

To become Certified, shops must provide proof of compliance, and then pass an onsite inspection-audit with several internal reviews. The 5-Star Business Performance Program can be used by repair businesses prior to enrolling in the extensive process. The program charts the path to enhanced body shop capabilities and overall performance, and ultimately, OEM Certification. Once the business makes the necessary investments to meet certification requirements, it can transition seamlessly into the Certified Collision Care program to complete their OEM certification. All Certified Collision Care Providers will have access to the resource to help ensure their business is a top performer.
