Jean-François Gargya, Director General of the CarrXpert banner, a subsidiary of the Corporation des concessionnaires automobiles du Québec (CCAQ), has announced a new partnership between CarrXpert and Certified Collision Care.

CarrXpert is Quebec’s largest network of bodyshops and has joined efforts with Certified Collision Care to certify FCA bodyshops associated with Quebec’s franchised dealership network. CarrXpert is expanding across Canada, and will be working to certify bodyshops with Certified Collision Care across the country.

Certified Collision Care is the Canadian division of Assured Performance Network and represents the largest OEM Certification program in North America. Certified Collision Care has an exclusive agreement with FCA Canada (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat brands) to manage and administer its Mopar Certified Collsion Repair Facility program in Canada.

In order to qualify, repairers must have the proper tools, equipment, training and facilities required to repair vehicles to OEM specifications as well as ensuring a vehicle’s fit, finish, durability, functionality, value, and safety are preserved.

Certified Collision Care’s rigorous five-step validation process ensures compliance with certification criteria that are based on the manufacturer’s requirements. As today’s vehicles are built with lighter materials to meet environmental standards, the bodyshops must follow OEM recommended repair procedures to ensure the safety of passengers.

OEM Certification programs are being introduced by automakers to help protect consumers and ensure vehicles are safe following a collision repair. Regarding the partnership, Gargya’s team said, “as we are committed to serve dealers, we must also have the same commitment to their respective manufacturers. This partnership is in continuity with our business model.”

In reference to the new agreement, Leanne Jefferies, Vice President, Canadian Operations, Assured Performance Network, said, “we are very pleased to have this partnership with CarrXpert body shops. We will be able to develop the certified network in direct collaboration with dealers and their respective manufacturers. This will support expansion of our certification program and allow us to quickly reach the goal of having a certified collision repair choice in every community.”
