On September 20, PBE Distributors, a subsidiary of Color Compass Corporation, held its annual Charity Golf Classic.
Taking place at ClubLinks Glencairn Golf Club in Halton, Hills, Ont., the day afforded truly spectacular weather, great camaraderie and some fantastic golfing, all for a worthy cause.
ClubLinks Glencairn is billed as the closest thing to Scotland without crossing the Atlantic, and with its multi-turreted clubhouse, a plethora of Victorian style huts and dry-stone walls littered throughout the course, it truly does convey an impression of actually being in Scotland, save for battering winds and overcast skies! (The author lived close to the famous St. Andrews golf course as a child).
The event, which marked the 20th anniversary of this Charity Classic, drew PBE and Color Compass members and industry partners from across Ontario and beyond, with all proceeds going to Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario at London Health Sciences.
The winning team this year in the tournament, consisted of Margie Austin, Jack Kraft, Morley Obrie and Paul Ovarholt; runners up were Justin Brown, Mike Burell, Ryan Johnson and Craig Pierce; with Brian Eddy, Darrin Heise, Jim Speck and Arnie White finishing third overall.
All in all, it was another fantastic day out and for a very worthy cause!
