SUN, a Snap-on brand, recently introduced its new repair information resource for collision repair facilities that often have to perform mechanical repairs as well.
Officially launched at the 2019 SEMA Show, SUN Collision Repair Information contains comprehensive, accurate data to equip shops with the ability to repair almost all vehicles efficiently.

The company explains in a release that technological advancements in vehicles have led to the blurring of the line between collision and mechanical repairs. Sensors, cameras and other mechanical components often get damaged when a vehicle’s body and frame get impacted in a collision. To take the vehicle back to its safe operating condition, it is necessary to repair and/or recalibrate these components in such cases.
Information to perform collision and mechanical repairs on all types of light duty vehicles is being offered on SUN Collision. When working on vehicles equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features, technicians can access the ADAS-Driver Assist quick reference feature for consolidated repair and recalibration information.
