S.U.R.&R., Husky Corporation’s vehicle fluid line repair solutions division, has announced the release of a new specialty tool—the FC5 Filter Removal Cup.

The tool has been created to ensure a safe and clean working environment in service shops, especially when doing regular jobs involving oil and fuel filter replacement.

When performing routine vehicle maintenance, the technicians can use the filter removal cup to shield their exposed skin from heat, as well as avoid messy fluid drips. Using the product in tight or oddly shaped filter placement locations is easy due to the flexible, non-slip material it is made of. The company has created the FC5 cup for filters commonly fitted in cars, SUVs, light-duty trucks and vans.

“Residual oil in the filter at the connection point drips out during nearly every oil change. That’s always annoying and potentially harmful,” said S.U.R.&R. National Sales Manager Bob Joy. “The FC5 Filter Removal Cup will catch those potentially dangerous hot fluids before they can drip on your hand and down your arm.”

The company explains in a release that the FC5 Filter Removal Cup can aid in preventing workplace accidents that can potentially be caused by slipping over vehicle fluids that have accidentally spilled on the shop floor. Additionally, technicians can also use the cups to hold loose nuts, bolts, screws, drain plugs and other items when servicing vehicles.
